Vlado Milunić and Frank Gehry caused quite a twist in architectural society when they designed and built this unique building in 1992. As Prague is home to Baroque, Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings, it is universally understood then, there is no place for such building as this. They called the new style as deconstructivist (“new-baroque” to the designers) architecture due to its unusual shape. Named as the Dancing House, it is today featured on a gold 2,000 Czech koruna coin issued by the Czech National Bank. Quite a twist for once an unwelcomed building.
